Music is one of the most divisive issues facing the church today. CCM (Contemporary Christian Music) has been used by Satan as one of the most effective mediums in history to lead the church into apostasy. God's Word is our standard. Its absolute truths are not subject to the culture of the day. The intent of these three messages by Nathan Searle is to assist the believer in applying Biblical principles to their choice of music.

Welcome to Southern Cross Baptist Church Christian School main page.


Southern Cross Baptist Church Christian School commenced in 1988 due to a strong conviction of the people of our church regarding Christian education. Since then, the Lord has shown himself mighty time and time again in the miracles he has performed in the day to day functioning of the school.

Schools are the training institutions for our future leaders. Martin Luther said, “I am much afraid that universities will prove to be the great gates of hell, unless they diligently labour in explaining the Holy Scriptures, and engraving them in the hearts of youth. I advise no one to place his child where the Scriptures do not reign paramount. Every institution in which men are not unceasingly occupied with the Word of God must become corrupt.”  We are pleased to say that our staff and curriculum are committed to the truth of the Word of God.

Our educational approach is both individualised and class oriented to allow and encourage each student to reach their full God-given potential. If you are looking for a school that will seek to teach your children to love the Lord their God with all their heart, soul and mind and will challenge them to live their lives for the Lord Jesus Christ, then we would encourage you to prayerfully consider entrusting the school-based discipleship of your children to the staff here at Southern Cross.
